Holography at Work for Nuclear and Hadron Physics
The purpose of this review is to provide basic ingredients of holographic QCD to nonexperts in string theory and to summarize its interesting achievements in nuclear and hadron physics. We focus on results from a less stringy bottom‐up approach and review a stringy top‐down model with some calculational details.

The High Spin Expansion of Twist Sector Dimensions: The Planar 𝒩 = 4 Super Yang‐Mills Theory
This review is devoted to collecting some results on the high spin expansion of (minimal) anomalous dimension. Thanks to the recent rationale on integrability, planar 𝒩 = 4 super Yang‐Mills theory (or its AdS5 × S5 string counterpart) represents a very practicable field.

Holographic Duality with a View Toward Many‐Body Physics
These are notes based on a series of lectures given at the KITP workshop Quantum Criticality and the AdS/CFT Correspondence in July, 2009. The goal of the lectures was to introduce condensed matter physicists to the AdS/CFT correspondence. Discussion of string theory and of supersymmetry is avoided to the extent possible.

Precision holography for N=2∗ $$ \mathcal{N}={2}^{\ast } $$ on S 4 from type IIB supergravity
We find a new supersymmetric solution of type IIB supergravity which is holographically dual to the planar limit of the four-dimensional N=2∗ $$ \mathcal{N}={2}^{\ast } $$ supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory on S 4.

Conformal constraints on defects
In this paper we study the constraints imposed by conformal invariance on extended objects a.k.a. defects in a conformal field theory. We identify a particularly nice class of defects that is closed under conformal transformations.

Bootstrapping a stress-tensor form factor through eight loops
We bootstrap the three-point form factor of the chiral stress-tensor multiplet in planar N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 4 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory at six, seven, and eight loops, using boundary data from the form factor operator product expansion.

Integrated correlators with a Wilson line in N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 4 SYM
In the context of integrated correlators in N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 4 SYM, we study the 2-point functions of local operators with a superconformal line defect. Starting from the mass-deformed N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 2* theory in presence of a 1 2 $$ \frac{1}{

1-form symmetry versus large N QCD
We show that large N QCD does not have an emergent ℤ N 1-form symmetry. Our results suggest that a symmetry-based understanding of (approximate) confinement in QCD would require some further generalization of the notion of generalized global symmetries.

Supersymmetric Wilson loops via integral forms
We study supersymmetric Wilson loops from a geometrical perspective. To this end, we propose a new formulation of these operators in terms of an integral form associated to the immersion of the loop into a supermanifold. This approach provides a unifying
