An experimental and finite element study of the low-cycle fatigue failure of a galvanised steel lighting column [PDF]
This paper presents the results of a low-cycle fatigue test on a lighting column. The wind induced vibration phenomena responsible for low cycle fatigue in such structures is discussed and the failure mechanism is examined.

Assessing wind induced stay vibrations in bridges [PDF]
Stay vibration events have been reported all over the world on cable-stayed bridges. Cable vibrations cause bridge users discomfort and may also lead to bridge collapse. Aim of this study is to investigate relevant cable vibration phenomena directly induced by wind, such as buffet-shedding, dry inclined galloping and rain wind induced vibrations.

Powder Optimization Strategies for Binder Jetting Printing of BaTiO3 and Ba0,6Sr0,4TiO3 Ceramics
Powder optimization is investigated to enable binder jetting of BaTiO3 and Ba0.6Sr0.4TiO3 ferroelectric ceramics. The antagonistic relationship between flowability and binder compatibility is addressed through binder impregnation of granulated powders and fumed silica addition to fine powders.

Design of wideband vibration-based electromagnetic generator by means of dual-resonator [PDF]
This paper describes the design of a wideband electromagnetic energy harvester that utilizes a novel dual-resonator method to improve the operational frequency range of the vibration-based generator. The device consists of two separate resonator systems (

Collagen hydrolysate is evaluated as a sustainable binder for MgO‐C refractories. Its thermally induced cross‐linking and gas release lead to expansion and cracking in large bricks, but tailored batches with lignin, recyclates, or fine graphite improve the gas release while thermal treatment and stability.
