Modified Multimachine Power System Design with DFIG-WECS and Damping Controller
Rotor angle stability, which involves electromechanical oscillation damping and control, is very important in maintaining the stability of modern power grid systems. Renewable energy sources like wind energy are undergoing massive integration into modern

Hydraulic wind energy conversion system [PDF]
The purpose of this research was to design, build and test a hydraulic wind energy system. This design used a three bladed turbine, which drove a hydraulic pump. The energy is transmitted from the pump through a long hose and into a hydraulic motor, where the energy is used. This wind system was built and tested during the winter of 1980-1981.

Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes
Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.

NMR metabolomics revealed concentration‐dependent metabolic perturbations in HepG2 cells exposed to H2O2. Rifampicin pretreatment enhanced metabolic competence, attenuated toxin‐induced alterations and produced metabolite profiles more consistent with human liver physiology, supporting the use of CYP450‐induced HepG2 models for improved in vitro ...

System-wide inertial response from fixed speed and variable speed wind turbines
IEEE PES 2011 General Meeting, Detroit, Michigan, USA, July 24-28, 2011As wind penetration levels on power systems increase worldwide, the dynamic characteristics of these systems are changing due to the displacement of synchronous generation. One issue,

Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a rare autoimmune disease defined by immune dysregulation, vasculopathy, and progressive fibrosis of the skin and internal organs. Despite advances in care, major complications such as interstitial lung disease (ILD) and myocardial involvement remain the leading causes of morbidity and mortality.

Fault-Tolerant Control for Actuator Faults of Wind Energy Conversion System
The problem of robust fault-tolerant control for actuators of nonlinear systems with uncertain parameters is studied in this paper. Takagi−Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model is used to describe the wind energy conversion system (WECS).
