Advances in Triboelectric Nanogenerators With Rotating Structure

open access: yesCarbon Energy, Volume 8, Issue 2, February 2026.
The rotating TENG has been widely studied for its superiorities of simple structure, high efficiency, and stable output. This review introduced the four different principles of rotating TENG and offered a thorough summary for performance and application research through three‐level classification. Importantly, the current existing problems, challenges,

Impact of Structural Heterogeneities in Hierarchically Grown Microribbons on 2D WS2 Monolayer on the Measured Local Hydrogen Evolution Activity on Au Substrate

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 10, 17 February 2026.
Spatially resolved SECCM measurements reveal that hierarchically grown microribbons on 2D WS2 drastically suppress local HER activity. Relative to the basal plane of the 2D monolayer directly supported on an Au substrate, single‐layer and multilayer microribbons exhibit more than a ∼5‐fold and >10‐fold decrease in current density, respectively.
