Comparing the Results of RWEQ and IRIFR Models for Determining of Land Management Effects on Wind Erosion [PDF]

open access: yesمدیریت بیابان, 2015
If the wind speed got faster than soil erosion threshold and soil surface with plants, residuals and surface roughness are protected, then the process will lead to wind erosion.

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Studies on the Control of Wind erosion

open access: yesJournal of Agricultural Meteorology, 1955
The expeiment with the wind erosion was carried out on clean-tilled wheat field and the kittatemaki field (that is, wheat field sown on fallowed soil in use of stubbles of the previous crop).1. Wind velocityBy the investigations of the horizontal distributions of wind velocity, it was made clear that the clean-tilled field and kittaternaki field were ...

Direct Metal Deposition of Graphene–Ti28Nb35.4Zr Matrix Composites With Enhanced Mechanical, Corrosion, and Biocompatibility Properties for Bone Implants

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Graphene nanoplatelet (0.1 wt.%) reinforcement significantly enhances the performance of β Ti‐28Nb‐35.4Zr alloy. Grain refinement, reduced water contact angle, and improved surface characteristics promote osteoblast adhesion and complete surface coverage after 7 days.

Wind erosion changes from ecological restoration and climatic drivers on the Tibetan plateau

open access: yesEnvironmental and Sustainability Indicators
Wind erosion increases risks to soil productivity and food security, which have large implications for ecosystems and human well-being. However, the spatial patterns of how ecological restoration and climate change affect wind erosion remain poorly ...

Electrochemical Behavior of Flame‐Sprayed Sc‐Doped AlCoCrFeMo High‐Entropy Alloy Coatings in 3.5% Sodium Chloride Solution

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Scandium (Sc)‐doped AlCoCrFeMo HEA coatings are fabricated via flame spraying with 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 wt% Sc additions. Among these, the HEA‐Sc0.3 coating exhibits the highest corrosion resistance, indicated by a more positive corrosion potential and lower current density.
