The disordered growth of dendrites, corrosion, parasitic side reactions, slow de‐solvation kinetics, and inherent safety risks significantly hinder the practical deployment of conventional liquid electrolyte zinc‐ion batteries. In contrast, the novel PU‐EG+DMPA‐Zn polyurethane quasi‐solid‐state electrolyte, enriched with abundant polar functional ...

Pieces of galvanized steel angle, steel tube, and steel plate were made into test specimens, and then a uniform wind-sand flow field was formed in a reflux wind tunnel to simulate the environment of strong wind-sand areas. Through the wind tunnel testing,

Wind erosion is one of the major environmental problems in semi-arid and arid regions. Here we established the Tariat-Xilin Gol transect from northwest to southeast across the Mongolian Plateau, and selected seven sampling sites along the transect. We then estimated the soil wind erosion rates by using the 137Cs tracing technique and examined their ...

A minimally invasive, transepithelial corneal cross‐linking (TE‐CXL) approach is presented using upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs)‐loaded contact lenses (UCLs), after topical delivery of hyaluronate–riboflavin conjugates. The NIR‐to‐UV/blue light conversion by UCNPs in a UCL can activate riboflavin for TE‐CXL, resulting in the biomechanical strength ...

Microsphere Autolithography—A Scalable Approach for Arbitrary Patterning of Dielectric Spheres
MicroSphere Autolithography (µSAL) enables scalable fabrication of patchy particles with customizable surface motifs. Focusing light through dielectric microspheres creates well defined, tunable patches via a conformal poly(dopamine) photoresist. Nearly arbitrary surface patterns can be achieved, with the resolution set by the index contrast between ...

Photomultiplication organic photodetectors (PM OPDs) are an attractive strategy for health‐monitoring. Here, PM‐OPDs are reported with a specific detectivity of 5.7 × 1012 Jones and external quantum efficiency values of 3500% under −10 V. The dynamics of carrier trapping in these devices are elucidated through trap selective spectroscopical techniques.

How Does Wind Project Performance Change with Age in the United States? [PDF]
Wind-plant performance declines with age, and the rate of decline varies between regions. The rate of performance decline is important when determining wind-plant financial viability and expected lifetime generation.

3D Digital Light Processing of Redox‐Active Polymers for Electrochemical Applications
3D printing of electrochemically switchable conducting polymers is achieved by Digital Light Processing of redox‐active carbazole‐based polymer materials. Complex 2D and 3D architectures including dot arrays and pyramids clearly show the potential for novel 3D switchable electrochemical devices for sensors, electrochromic displays as well as 3D printed
