Diagnosis of Flow Characteristics in Wind Farm—Case of the Asokurumagaeri Wind Farm—

open access: yesJournal of Japan Society of Civil Engineers, Ser. A2 (Applied Mechanics (AM)), 2011
A detailed wind synopsis analysis was performed for the Asokurumagaeri wind farm (operation of this wind farm was initiated in October, 2005) in cooperation with the Kumamoto Prefectural Enterprise Bureau. In this simulation, high-resolution terrain elevation data which included the latest land development information were utilized.

Heterogeneity in Food Price Inflation Convergence Across the EU: Evidence From Club Dynamics and Structural Breaks

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study examines food price inflation rate convergence among EU27 Member States from 2005 to 2024, focusing on structural breaks, external shocks, and regional disparities. Using panel unit root tests and club convergence analysis, the findings reveal no overall convergence but identify multiple convergence clubs.

Dispatch of a Wind Farm with a Battery Storage

open access: yes, 2016
The combination of a wind farm with a battery storage allows to schedule the system in a more balanced way, alleviating natural wind power fluctuations. We present a mathematical model that optimizes the contribution margin (CM) of a system that consists of a wind farm and a lithium-ion battery storage from an operator’s perspective.

Does Participating in Agricultural Global Value Chains Promote Agricultural Growth?

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study examines the relationship between GVC participation and agricultural value‐added growth in 43 countries over the period 1995–2022. In contrast to prior literature, we disaggregate the agricultural sector into four sub‐sectors namely crop cultivation, animal production, forestry and fishing.
