Experimental Analysis of Bio-Inspired Vortex Generators on a Blade with S822 Airfoil
Vortex generators are used in aircraft wings and wind turbine blades. These devices allow them to maintain a stable turbulent behavior in the wind wake.

Analysis of multipolar generators operating efficiently in low-speed water and wind flows using ANSYS MAXWELL program [PDF]
The article analyses generators generating efficient electricity at low speed water and wind flows. High rotating speed generators are used in wind farms and micro-hydropower. Reduction gears are used to provide the generators with the required number of

Cumulative generation of electricity from the wind of passing vehicles and natural wind in the Bukhara region of the Republic of Uzbekistan [PDF]
Wind energy occupies are a rather important place in the balance of global “green” generation. Wind energy directly depends on the wind speed in the region under consideration.

Contracting for Wind Generation [PDF]
The UK Government proposes offering long-term Feed-in-Tariffs (FiTs) to low-carbon generation to reduce risk and encourage new entrants. Their preference is for a Contract-for-Difference (CfD) or a premium FiT (pFiT) for all generation regardless of type. I argue that neither is suitable for on-shore wind, where a fixed FiT appears less risky.

Radiative Transfer and Generalized Wind
Dissimilar flows can be compared by exploiting the fact that all flux densities divided by their conjugate volume densities form velocity fields, which have been described as generalized winds. These winds are an extension of the classical notion of wind in fluids which puts these distinct processes on a common footing, leading to thermodynamical ...

AbstractAppropriate modeling of an experimental technology is necessary in order to estimate the aerodynamic characteristic of railway trains and infrastructure (e.g., bridges). Simulation of the earth’s wind characteristics of nature is a well-established practice by using an atmospheric boundary wind tunnel. However, in the mountainous area, the wind

Combined hydro-wind generation bids in a pool-based electricity market [PDF]
Present regulatory trends are promoting the irect participation of wind energy in electricity markets. The final result of these markets sets the production scheduling for the operation time, including a power commitment from the wind generators. However,
