Fleetwide data-enabled reliability improvement of wind turbines [PDF]
Wind farms are an indispensable driver toward renewable and nonpolluting energy resources. However, as ideal sites are limited, placement in remote and challenging locations results in higher logistics costs and lower average wind speeds. Therefore, it is critical to increase the reliability of the turbines to reduce maintenance costs.

Loads assessment of a fixed‐bottom offshore wind farm with wake steering
Wake steering via deliberate yaw offset is an emerging wind farm control technique that has the potential to mitigate wake losses and further increase wind farm energy yield.

Non-Linear Geometric Analysis in Guyed Masts
A guyed mast is an example of structures with non-lineal behaviour under extreme wind loads. Cables are used to stabilize structures; changes in the stiffness of these structures give rise to non linearity.

A Versatile Family of Galactic Wind Models [PDF]
We present a versatile family of model galactic outflows including non-uniform mass and energy source distributions, a gravitational potential from an extended mass source, and radiative losses. The model easily produces steady-state wind solutions for a range of mass-loading factors, energy-loading factors, galaxy mass and galaxy radius. We find that,

Wind to start the washing machine? High-Resolution Wind Atlas for Finland [PDF]
The current fossil fuel and climate crisis has led to an increased demand for renewable energy sources, such as wind power. In northern Europe, the efficient use of wind power is crucial for achieving carbon neutrality. To assess the potential of wind energy for private households in Finland, we have conducted a high spatiotemporal resolution analysis.

The Effect of Wind Loads on the Seismic Performance of Tall Buildings
Wind and earthquake loadings are the two major types of lateral dynamic excitations experienced by high-rise buildings. An efficient design must ensure the safety of structural and non-structural components of a building against both types of loadings ...

Mass loading of pulsar winds [PDF]
The dynamics of relativistic magnetized mass loaded outflows carrying toroidal magnetic field is analyzed in the context of Pulsar Wind Nebulae (PWNs). Mass loading is very efficient in slowing down super-relativistic magnetized flows and weakening of relativistic shocks.

Self-Similar Evolution of Wind-Blown Bubbles with Mass-loading by Conductive Evaporation [PDF]
We present similarity solutions for mass-loaded adiabatic bubbles that are blown by winds having time dependent mechanical luminosities. We consider mass-loading through conductive evaporation of clumps. In the limit of little mass loading a similarity solution found by Dyson (1973) for expansion into a smooth ambient medium is recovered.

A technique for reducing supersonic transient loads on internal wind tunnel balances [PDF]
Design of slender supersonic missiles requires a comprehensive experimental support in the form of wind tunnel data for a wide range of flight parameters (angle of attack and Mach number). However, in supersonic wind tunnel testing, the problem exists of
