Wind Power Curve Modeling and Wind Power Forecasting With Inconsistent Data
IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy, 2019Wind power curve modeling is a challenging task due to the existence of inconsistent data, in which the recorded wind power is far away from the theoretical wind power at a given wind speed. In this case, confronted with these samples, the estimated errors of wind power will become large.

Direct Interval Forecasting of Wind Power
IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, 2013This letter proposes a novel approach to directly formulate the prediction intervals of wind power generation based on extreme learning machine and particle swarm optimization, where prediction intervals are generated through direct optimization of both the coverage probability and sharpness, without the prior knowledge of forecasting errors.

Wind power short-term forecasting system
2009 IEEE Bucharest PowerTech, 2009The Romanian National Energy strategy is requesting that renewables quota to reach 33% of consumption in 2010 and 38% in 2020. One of the most challenging issues facing wind energy today is its maximal and reliable integration in the power markets. Due to transport / distribution grid lack of flexibility and high level of concentration in Dobrogea ...

With the ongoing increase in installed wind power production and due to the variability of this resource, forecasting the production is becoming a critical process. So far, forecasts have usually been generated individually for a given site of interest (either a wind farm or a group of wind farms).

Wind power variability: Deterministic and probabilistic forecast of wind power production
2017 Saudi Arabia Smart Grid (SASG), 2017Due to the fast and important increase of wind power production and the deployment of the installed wind turbines at worldwide scale, wind power brings more variability and uncertainty to the power systems. so, wind variability and developed forecasting approaches would be taken account into power systems studies.
