Environmental wind tunnel

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1996
An environmental wind tunnel for producing air flow over an automotive vehicle includes a source of air under pressure and an elongated housing for receiving an automotive vehicle. The environmental wind tunnel has an upstream end coupled to the downstream end of the source of air under pressure, so that air is blown axially through the housing from ...

Novel wind tunnel

Sustainable Cities and Society, 2016
Abstract A novel wind tunnel with conical and elevation structure is proposed and demonstrated for power generation. A sucking fan is placed at the wind tunnel front end to simulate wind in the atmosphere and a wind turbine is placed at the backend of the wind tunnel to generate electricity.

Wind-Tunnel Observations

1973
BEFORE proceeding to the results of the experimental work done in sand moving under controlled conditions through a wind tunnel, it may be of interest to describe shortly the final form of the tunnel with which the work was carried out. The design had to fulfil a number of special requirements, and as no previous experimental work on the subject had ...

Wind Tunnel Methods

SP-240: Performance-Based Design of Concrete Building for Wind Loads, 2006
Synopsis: Wind-tunnel testing is introduced as a means of providing accurate design loads for the structural frames of buildings in a timely and economic manner, overcoming the inherent limitations of code and analytical procedures. Various types of model tests and their relative advantages are described. The nature of the information that the building’
