Phase Transformation Induced Plastic Deformation Mechanism in α2‐Ti3Al
This study reveals the plastic deformation mechanism dominated by HCP ↔ FCC phase transformation of α2‐Ti3Al, comparable to twinning. And we find the γ/α2 coherent interface can reduce the critical resolved shear stress (CRSS) of phase transformation by 35%, which is its role in plasticity.
