The Stability of Manganese Oxides Under Laser Irradiation During Raman Analyses: II. Layer Structures

open access: yesJournal of Raman Spectroscopy, EarlyView.
Manganese oxides are important geomaterials with diverse technological applications. Here, we investigate the behaviour of the most common Mn oxides with layer structures under irradiation by a 532‐nm laser, with intensity ranging from 23 µW/µm2 to 36.8 mW/µm2.

Examining the Nexus Between Knowledge Management and Renewable Energy From the Supply and Demand Sides: The Case of Vietnam

open access: yesKnowledge and Process Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to examine the significance of previous, current, and future knowledge among stakeholders from the supply and demand sides in the renewable energy industry. Supported by the notions of the knowledge‐based view, this line of enquiry will develop a conceptual framework to illuminate the understanding of this two ...

Predicting corrosion for life estimation of ocean and coastal steel infrastructure

open access: yesMaterials and Corrosion, EarlyView.
A schematic bi‐modal model for long‐term marine corrosion of steel exposed to marine immersion, tidal, splash and atmospheric zones and other nonmarine zones such as in contact with sands and soils. Also applicable to alloys such as copper‐nickels and aluminium.

Effect of gap size on flange face corrosion

open access: yesMaterials and Corrosion, EarlyView.
This study investigates the effect of gap size on the flange face corrosion behavior in bolted flanged joints of wind turbine towers exposed to challenging offshore conditions. Using electrochemical techniques, it finds that increasing the gap thickness accelerates the general corrosion rate and delays crevice corrosion initiation.
