Two-dimensional axisymmetric winding model for finite deformation [PDF]
A two-dimensional axisymmetric winding model for wound rolls of thin web is developed. The model accounts for radial and axial displacements and radial, circumferential, axial and shear stresses. The roll build-up is modeled as an incremental accretion process.

Methodology to locate and quantify radial winding deformation in power transformers
Frequency response analysis (FRA) is a tool that can be used to detect changes within the structural geometry of a transformer. One application of FRA is to detect winding displacement after the transformer experiences an overcurrent event.

Band Gap Formation and Tunability in Stretchable Serpentine Interconnects [PDF]
Serpentine interconnects are highly stretchable and frequently used in flexible electronic systems. In this work, we show that the undulating geometry of the serpentine interconnects will generate phononic band gaps to manipulate elastic wave propagation.

Investigating inter-turn fault in transformer using TTR and FRA [PDF]
Transformers are one of the significant elements in the power system network. The Transformer function is to step up and down the voltages. When the transformer operating in high load, it exposes to failures.

Topological interface engineering and defect crossing in ultracold atomic gases
We propose an experimentally feasible scheme for topological interface engineering and show how it can be used for studies of dynamics of topologically nontrivial interfaces and perforation of defects and textures across such interfaces. The method makes

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Frequency response analysis (FRA) has been widely accepted as a diagnostic tool for power transformer winding deformation faults. Typically, both amplitude-frequency and phase-frequency signatures are obtained by an FRA analyzer.

Implementation of the SFRA method as valuable tool for detection of power transformer active part deformation [PDF]
The paper presents the SFRA (Sweep Frequency Response Analysis-SFRA) method for analyzing frequency response of transformer windings in order to identify potential defects in the geometry of the core and winding. The most frequent problems (recognized by
