Aortiopulmonary Window: Detection with Multislice Computed Tomography

Pediatric Cardiology, 2009
A young man presented to our center with dyspnea. Echocardiograpy showed a low ejection fraction and a connection between the ascending aorta and the pulmonary artery. Multislice computed tomography confirmed the diagnosis. He underwent successful repair of the connection.

Computing Maximum Matchings in Temporal Graphs

Symposium on Theoretical Aspects of Computer Science, 2019
Temporal graphs are graphs whose topology is subject to discrete changes over time. Given a static underlying graph $G$, a temporal graph is represented by assigning a set of integer time-labels to every edge $e$ of $G$, indicating the discrete time ...

On specialized window lengths and detector based human activity recognition

Ubiquitous Computing, 2018
Sliding window based activity recognition chains represent the state-of-the-art for many mobile and embedded scenarios as they are common in wearable computing.

Mobile computing & Windows CE

2001

U-Net: Convolutional Networks for Biomedical Image Segmentation

International Conference on Medical Image Computing and Computer-Assisted Intervention, 2015
There is large consent that successful training of deep networks requires many thousand annotated training samples. In this paper, we present a network and training strategy that relies on the strong use of data augmentation to use the available ...

Computational Pharmacokinetics During Developmental Windows of Susceptibility

Journal of Toxicology and Environmental Health, Part A, 2005
Computational modeling has an increasing role in analyses of biological effects, including how the body handles chemicals (i.e., pharmacokinetics or toxicokinetics) and how the body responds to chemicals (i.e., pharmacodynamics or toxicodynamics). Pharmacokinetic models increasingly describe not just adult humans and animals, but also changes with age ...

Resource Usage of Windows Computer Laboratories

2005 International Conference on Parallel Processing Workshops (ICPPW'05), 2005
Studies focusing on Unix have shown that the vast majority of workstations and desktop computers remain idle for most of the time. In this paper we quantify the usage of main resources (CPU, main memory, disk space and network bandwidth) of Windows 2000 machines from classroom laboratories.

WINDOW MANAGEMENT IN INTERACTIVE COMPUTER SYSTEMS

ACM SIGCHI Bulletin, 1986
Despite the popularity of window-management systems in the marketplace, research investigating the usage and possible benefits of such systems has only recently begun to emerge (Bly and Rosenberg, 1986; Bury, Davies and Darnell, 1985; Davies, Bury, and Darnell, 1985).

Stereo computation using radial adaptive windows

Object recognition supported by user interaction for service robots, 2003
While stereo algorithms using global methods produce good depth maps, local methods are still preferred for their efficiency. We present an algorithm that determines the adaptive support windows by radial computations. Motivated by the experiences of human vision, we use the certainties of the initial disparity distributions to determine the support ...

Computer-Aided Window Identification in Trident

1995
Multi-windowing capabilities of modern graphical workstations and personal computers provide fundamental features which are necessary to achieve a usable user interface (UI). This usability depends heavily on judicious application of these capabilities.
