Financial Risk Avoidance Based on the Sensor Network and Edge Computing

open access: yesJournal of Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2022
In order to improve the effect of financial risk aversion, this paper studies the financial risk aversion system combined with the edge computing method of the sensor network and proposes a sensor data anomaly detection algorithm based on the offset ...

DPIVSoft-OpenCL: A multicore CPU–GPU accelerated open-source code for 2D Particle Image Velocimetry

open access: yesSoftwareX, 2022
We present a translation of the original Matlab DPIVSoft code to a complete open source code implemented in Python, to perform Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) in two-dimensions, in parallel, and with interrogation window shifting along with the double ...

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Integrated Dynamic Facade Control with an Agent-based Architecture for Commercial Buildings [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Dynamic façades have significant technical potential to minimize heating, cooling, and lighting energy use and peak electric demand in the perimeter zone of commercial buildings, but the performance of these systems is reliant on being able to balance ...

Inhibition of CDK9 enhances AML cell death induced by combined venetoclax and azacitidine

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The CDK9 inhibitor AZD4573 downregulates c‐MYC and MCL‐1 to induce death of cytarabine (AraC)‐resistant AML cells. This enhances VEN + AZA‐induced cell death significantly more than any combination of two of the three drugs in AraC‐resistant AML cells.

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Optimization of Projected Phase Change Memory for Analog In‐Memory Computing Inference

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, 2023
Phase change memory (PCM) is one of the most promising candidates for non‐von Neumann based analog in‐memory computing–particularly for inference of previously‐trained deep neural networks (DNN).
