The Dynamics of Distance, Velocity and Acceleration of Power Output in the 30-s Wingate Anaerobic Test

International Journal of Sports Medicine, 2010
The purpose of the present study was to analyse the dynamics of distance, velocity and acceleration of the 30-s Wingate Anaerobic Test. Participants were 53 young adult Rugby Union football players of mean age 21.6±2.5 yr, 180.5±7.2 cm height and 89.3±12.7 kg body mass.

Caffeine, but Not Creatine, Improves Anaerobic Power Without Altering Anaerobic Capacity in Healthy Men During a Wingate Anaerobic Test

International Journal of Sport Nutrition and Exercise Metabolism
There is a lack of evidence on the additional benefits of combining caffeine (CAF) and creatine (CRE) supplementation on anaerobic power and capacity. Thus, the aim of the present study was to test the effects of combined and isolated supplementation of CAF and CRE on anaerobic power and capacity.

The anaerobic power output in the Wingate test: Effect of gender, load, and duration

2022
Araştırmada Wingate anaerobik testinde (WAnT) yükün, test süresinin ve cinsiyetin güç çıktılarına etkileri incelenmiştir. Araştırmaya, 14’ü kadın 33 orta düzeyde aktif genç yetişkin (yaş; 20.9±1.8 yıl) katılmıştır. Katılımcılar laboratuvarı 7 kez ziyaret etmiştir. İlk ziyarette vücut kompozisyonu ölçümleri ve adaptasyon çalışmaları yapılmıştır. Sonraki

A Velocity-Related Means of Determining Resistance Load for the Wingate Test of Anaerobic Power

Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, 2000
This study compared power output during a 30-second max- imal cycle ergometry test using a resistance that was deter- mined to yield maximal 10-second power output (Windsor method) with power output generated using the more tra- ditional methods of resistance-setting determination (0.735 N·kg21 body mass (Wingate method) or 30-second power output at 49

Validity of cycling peak power as measured by a short-sprint test versus the Wingate anaerobic test

Applied Physiology, Nutrition, and Metabolism, 2006
To validate the measurement of peak power output (PPO) using a short cycling sprint test (inertial load (IL) test), we compare it to the widely accepted Wingate anaerobic test (WAnT). Fifteen healthy, young, active subjects performed 2 experimental trials. In each trial, subjects warmed up and sprinted 4 times for the IL test.

Comparative validity of the Wingate and new power bike tests for the assessment of peak anaerobic power

Isokinetics and Exercise Science
Abstract Purpose This study evaluated the construct validity of the inertial-load protocol, the New Power Bike Test (NPBT), by comparing it with the Wingate Anaerobic Test (WAnT) and examining its correlation with criterion measures, including Vertical Jump (VJ) and Isokinetic Leg Strength (ILS)
