Monel-shot and screen regenerators [PDF]
Monel has been found to be ideal material for matrix of regenerators operating in temperature range of 325 K to 50 K. Two best shapes are as spheres or as wire mesh.

Spectrally Tunable 2D Material‐Based Infrared Photodetectors for Intelligent Optoelectronics
Intelligent optoelectronics through spectral engineering of 2D material‐based infrared photodetectors. Abstract The evolution of intelligent optoelectronic systems is driven by artificial intelligence (AI). However, their practical realization hinges on the ability to dynamically capture and process optical signals across a broad infrared (IR) spectrum.

Mechanotransducing Organic Electrochemical Diode for Crosstalk‐Inhibited Artificial Skin
An innovative approach is presented to a stretchable mechanotransducing diode that unifies rectification and tactile‐sensing functionality. This approach enables to fabricate the diode that maintains a large rectification ratio (5 × 102) at a high operational frequency (100 Hz).

Electrostatically controlled wire-mesh antenna
A satellite-antenna concept is described that permits large-diameter reflectors to be deployed from a single space shuttle payload by using the lightest available reflecting surface. Antenna diameters up to one kilometre are sought for a wire-mesh reflector stretched across a hoop and distended electrostatically into parabolic shape.

Influence of gas flow rate on liquid distribution in trickle-beds using perforated plates as liquid distributors [PDF]
Two wire mesh tomography devices and a liquid collector were used to study the influence of the gas flow rate on liquid distribution when fluids distribution on top of the reactor is ensured by a perforated plate.

A new class of living liquid metal composites is introduced, embedding Bacillus subtilis endospores into eutectic gallium–indium (EGaIn). The spores enhance droplet coalescence, strengthen interfacial conductivity, and provide on‐demand electrogenic functionality after germination. The composites exhibit high conductivity, self‐healing, patternability,

Apparatus for reducing aerodynamic noise in a wind tunnel [PDF]
An apparatus is described for reducing the background noise produced by the porous walls of the test section of a wind tunnel. A finely meshed screen member is placed over the perforations in the test section walls.

Wait-Hill MoM for a lumped element loaded mesh screen on a stratified substrate [PDF]
The generalized thin-wire Wait-Hill method of moments formulation in free space is extended to model plane wave scattering from a lumped element periodically loaded mesh screen backed by a multi-layer substrate.
