Routing Protocols in Wireless Sensor Networks
2017In Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), the routing protocols have been given attention because most of the routing protocols are application and architecture dependent. This chapter presents routing protocols for wireless sensor networks and also classifies routing in WSN.

Routing in EEDR routing protocol for wireless sensor networks
2017 2nd IEEE International Conference on Recent Trends in Electronics, Information & Communication Technology (RTEICT), 2017This paper presents the analysis and execution of a receiver based routing protocol in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). The proposed Energy Efficient Distributed Receiver based routing (EEDR) protocol offers quick adaptation to changing link connections and has low energy consumption. It maintains multiple routes to the desired destination.

Reliable Routing in Wireless Ad Hoc Networks: The Virtual Routing Protocol
Journal of Network and Systems Management, 2006Anovel routing protocol for wireless, mobile ad hoc networks is presented. This protocol incorporates features that enhance routing reliability, defined as the ability to provide almost 100% packet delivery rate. The protocol is based on a virtual structure, unrelated to the physical network topology, where mobile nodes are connected by virtual links and

Sequential aggregate signatures for wireless routing protocols
IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference, 2005, 2005Sequential aggregate signature, first introduced and formalized by A. Lysyanskaya et al. (see EUROCRYPT 2004, p.74-90, 2004), is emerging as a useful tool to ensure routing security and at the same time to improve performance. We propose a new mechanism to construct sequential aggregate signatures based on the cipher block chaining (CBC) mode, which is

Multihop wireless ad-hoc routing protocol (multiWARP)
APCC/MDMC '04. The 2004 Joint Conference of the 10th Asia-Pacific Conference on Communications and the 5th International Symposium on Multi-Dimensional Mobile Communications Proceeding, 2005This work presents a new fully distributed multihop wireless ad-hoc routing protocol (multiWARP) that aims at minimizing the number of route request (RREQ) packets transmitted between nodes in a directed way, which we term "covercasting". The method used to minimize the number of individual RREQ packets transmitted is achieved through application of ...

Dedicated wireless routing protocol: Obstacle Location-Aided Routing

Competent routing protocol in Wireless Sensor Networks
2012 2nd IEEE International Conference on Parallel, Distributed and Grid Computing, 2012Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) consist of spatially distributed sensor to monitor physical or environmental conditions and cooperatively pass their data to a central location. Such networks become importance due to its potential to transform many segments of our life from ecological monitoring and maintenance to computerization in traffic surveillance ...

Routing protocols for underwater wireless sensor networks
IEEE Communications Magazine, 2015Recently, underwater wireless sensor networks (UWSNs) have emerged as a promising networking technique for various underwater applications. An energy efficient routing protocol plays a vital role in data transmission and practical applications. However, due to the specific characteristics of UWSNs, such as dynamic structure, narrow bandwidth, rapid ...

Opportunistic Routing Protocols in Wireless Sensor Networks
Wireless Personal Communications, 2018Research on wireless sensor network (WSN) has mainly involved the use of a portable and limited power source, namely batteries, to power the sensors. Without energy, a sensor is essentially useless and can not contribute to the utility of the network as a whole.
