Adaptive Wireless Routing Protocols

2011 14th International Conference on Network-Based Information Systems, 2011
We developed an adaptive architecture for ad hoc communications to be used in adverse conditions. Our architecture includes a broadcast and a routing protocol that can self adapt to network conditions. We show that various combinations of our protocols provide the needed flexibility in extreme conditions.

Routing in EEDR routing protocol for wireless sensor networks [PDF]

open access: possible2017 2nd IEEE International Conference on Recent Trends in Electronics, Information & Communication Technology (RTEICT), 2017
This paper presents the analysis and execution of a receiver based routing protocol in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). The proposed Energy Efficient Distributed Receiver based routing (EEDR) protocol offers quick adaptation to changing link connections and has low energy consumption. It maintains multiple routes to the desired destination.

Autonomic architecture for wireless routing protocols

ACS/IEEE International Conference on Computer Systems and Applications - AICCSA 2010, 2010
Wireless ad-hoc networks are highly dynamic networks for which routing is a challenging task. Existing routing protocols whether reactive, proactive or hybrid showed limitations in various situations. To optimize the behavior of the routing nodes, the academic community is recommending the reliance on an autonomic approach that would guarantee self ...

Wireless Routing Protocols for NANs

2014
In order to determine suitable routing protocols for the SGCN, this chapter surveys various existing routing protocols designed for wireless mesh networks. The focus is given to protocols that could be used for the NAN which is the most important segment of the SGCN.

The Routing Protocols for Wireless Sensor Networks

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013
Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a network which connect the human and the nature. The lifetime is an important standard which measures the network is good or not. The routing can influence on the lifetime of the network. This paper mainly introduces some routing protocols in WSN and describes their advantages and shortcomings.

New Results on Q-Routing Protocol for Wireless Networks [PDF]

open access: possible, 2021
In the 90s, Q-routing assisted by reinforcement learning was introduced by Boyan and Littman with interesting results in terms of quality of service. Some recent works continue to promote the idea through improvement of the algorithm or specialized extensions.

Resiliency taxonomy of routing protocols in Wireless Sensor Networks [PDF]

open access: possible37th Annual IEEE Conference on Local Computer Networks, 2012
Little effort has been made to compare routing pro- tocols according to their resiliency in wireless multi-hop sensor networks in the presence of packet dropping malicious insiders. In this paper, we propose a new taxonomy of routing protocols obtained by applying our resiliency metric.

Routing Protocols in Wireless Sensor Networks

2018
Due to dynamic topology, resource constraints and the distributed nature of WSNs, several requirements of routing protocols needs to be fulfilled. Wireless sensor networks comprise of huge number of spatially distributed, low-power, low-cost and intelligent autonomous sensors with one or more base stations which cooperatively monitor environment or ...

Routing Protocols in Wireless Sensor Networks

2017
In Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), the routing protocols have been given attention because most of the routing protocols are application and architecture dependent. This chapter presents routing protocols for wireless sensor networks and also classifies routing in WSN.

A Routing Protocol for Wireless Mesh Networks

2007 IEEE 66th Vehicular Technology Conference, 2007
In this paper we propose and develop a new simple routing protocol for wireless mesh network. This protocol, called multipath parallel routing protocol MPRP, is a reactive, distance vector routing protocol. It uses a simple mechanism to build multiple paths for a couple of nodes source and destination.
