The continuing significance of chiral agrochemicals
In the time frame 2018–2023, around 43% of the 35 chiral agrochemicals introduced to the market (herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, acaricides, and nematicides) contain one or more stereogenic centers in the molecule, and almost 69% of them have been marketed as racemic mixtures of enantiomers or stereoisomers.

DRENCH OF SEEDLINGS AS ECOLOGICAL AND ECONOMIC FEASIBLE METHOD OF TOBACCO PROTECTION AGAINST WIREWORMS [PDF]
The cultivation of seedlings in hydroponics, the ban of methyl bromide and the discovery of highly systemic insecticides from the neonicotinoid group have opened up new possibilities in tobacco protection against pests.

We compared soybean plants from untreated and treated seeds across 4 sites and 3 years in Maryland. Neonicotinoid seed treatments (NST) provided little reduction in insect stippling damage and no reduction in chewing damage. NST did not result in increased plant biomass or bean yield. Abstract The use of neonicotinoid insecticides in seed treatments in

Bacteriomes, cryptic forms and evolution of a common wireworm pest species, Hypnoidus bicolor
Wireworms are important agricultural pests, including Hypnoidus bicolor in the Canadian Prairies. Parthenogenetic and sexual populations of H. bicolor appear associated with different molecular clades. Bacterial community composition and structure were influenced by developmental stage, sampling location and host genetics.

ABSTRACT The rhizosphere harbours critical plant‐herbivore interactions often mediated by small lipophilic molecules (SLMs). Despite the agricultural importance of many soil‐dwelling insects, surprisingly little is known about chemically mediated belowground crop‐pest interactions. Root and shoot herbivores can influence these interactions by modifying

Organ‐specific terpenoid responses in Tanacetum vulgare are chemotype‐dependent
Common tansy varieties defend differently: some boost root chemicals against soil pests, while others release stronger leaf scents against aphids. Abstract Specialized metabolites such as terpenoids are known to mediate plant defence mechanisms. However, how terpenoid diversity governs inducible chemistry across organs remains poorly understood.

Amendment of Potting Soil With Black Soldier Fly Byproducts Affects Fungus Gnat Development
The study's three experiments were conducted in accordance with the development stages of fungus gnats, with adults emerging from the four treatment substrates and being caught on sticky cards as a common indicator. The treatments were formed from peat‐free potting soil, either pure or supplemented with combinations of byproducts from black soldier fly

A Wireworm Glyphonix bimarginatus (Schaeffer) (Insecta: Coleoptera: Elateridae)
Glyphonix bimarginatus (Figure 1) is a common click beetle pest of various economically important crops. The larvae of click beetles (Coleoptera: Elateridae) are elongated, wire-like and commonly known as wireworms.
