Amendment Thresholds and Voting Rules in Debt Contracts

open access: yesJournal of Accounting Research, Volume 64, Issue 1, Page 181-227, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Most loan contracts in the United States contain a provision for lender voting rules. We study the optimal voting rule that allows lenders to waive a covenant violation. When lenders have heterogeneous preferences, lenient voting rules increase the probability of waivers that allow inefficient investments.

Barfuß durch Wittenberge

open access: yes
Which road surface is actually on your doorstep? And can it tell the story of the city? Seemingly dull grey street concrete tells the story of world history - and filigree mosaics are reminiscent of the Wittenberge town architect Friede Bruns, who continued the city planning 100 years ago.

Rethinking the Origins of Cross‐Language Effects: How Heard Verbs Influence Japanese‐ and English‐Speaking Children's Attention to the Details of Actions

Quantitative Whole‐Body Muscle MRI in Adults With Spinal Muscular Atrophy–A Sensitive Tool for Long‐Time Evaluation of Disease Progression

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Neurology, Volume 33, Issue 3, March 2026.
Quantitative muscle MRI is emerging as an objective biomarker for monitoring therapy in neuromuscular disorders, yet long‐term trajectories in slowly progressive adult spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) remain unclear. In this study, quantitative MRI parameters in nusinersen‐treated adults were longitudinally evaluated and compared with established clinical

Herbarium Specimens Reveal Long‐Term Decline in Pollination Services Since the 1970s

open access: yesGlobal Change Biology, Volume 32, Issue 3, March 2026.
Using over 10,000 Caladenia flowers from herbarium specimens, we reveal a nearly two‐thirds decline in pollination services since the 1970s, which is correlated with changes in climate. ABSTRACT Anthropogenic change has resulted in pollinator declines and altered plant–pollinator interactions.
