Extreme Terahertz Nonlinearity of AlGaN/GaN‐Based Grating‐Gate Plasmonic Crystals

Plasmonic crystals based on grating‐gated 2D electron gas in AlGaN/GaN heterostructures provide a platform for strong light‐matter interaction. Pump‐probe experiments revealed strong terahertz nonlinearity leading to 45% increase in transmission at a fluence below 350 nJ cm−2.

What's new? Patients who undergo breast‐conserving surgery for breast cancer have a significant risk of recurrence if the healthy tissue left behind harbors cancer‐predisposing alterations. Here, the authors use a custom‐made gene panel, to potentially identify the risk of recurrence by detecting such alterations.
