Optimal timing to assess exercise‐induced oxidative stress: A systematic review and meta‐analysis

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract There is a lack of consensus on optimal timing to assess redox biomarkers post‐exercise, limiting methodological standardisation and linking oxidative stress to physiology. We determined optimal post‐exercise oxidative stress assessment times using three redox biomarkers: glutathione, F2‐isoprostanes and protein carbonyls.

Assessment of lung function variability documents airflow limitation in many patients with long covid

open access: yesHeliyon
Background: It is estimated that 65 million people worldwide suffer from long covid (LC). Many LC symptoms are also reported by patients with airflow limitation, used to confirm asthma. The primary aim was to detect airflow limitation in LC patients by a

Altitude or heat training to increase haemoglobin mass and endurance exercise performance in elite sport

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend Upper panel, high‐altitude training typically encompasses 3–4 weeks of altitude exposure combined with training either at altitude or at sea level. Following this, a response for haemoglobin mass (Hbmass) is seen in two of three studies, which coincides with some performance gains in <50% of studies.

Angiotensin‐converting enzyme and exercise adaptations: Genetic variability, pharmacological modulation and future directions

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend ACE I/D genotype, enzyme activity and integrated physiological adaptations. Upper panel: Conceptual framework linking the ACE I/D polymorphism (left) with circulating/tissue ACE activity (centre; violin plots based on hypothetical data for illustration) and strength/power versus endurance phenotypes (right).

Making the Case for Studying Business Law: A Teaching Note Providing a First Week Blueprint for First‐Time Instructors

open access: yesJournal of Legal Studies Education, Volume 43, Issue 1, Page 41-49, Winter 2026.
Abstract Most business students are not interested in becoming lawyers. Therefore, business law and legal environment instructors must convey why students should study business law. To assist instructors (especially first‐time ones), this teaching note presents interrelated pedagogical questions to introduce the first week of class.
