The paper focuses on the reasons for the unpopularity of feminism in the bush. When one looks at the productive and reproductive work undertaken by farm women it is clear that they are heavily involved in the ‘men's work’ undertaken in their enterprise. Consequently, their antagonism to feminism is difficult to understand.
