Aphyllophoraceous wood-inhabiting fungi on Quercus spp. in Italy
Mycotaxon, 2008240 species representing 100 genera of aphyllophoraceous fungi growing on Quercus spp. in Italy are listed. Some species are considered rare or infrequent in Italy, e.g. Bulbillomyces farinosus, Dendrothele dryina, Fomitopsis iberica, F. spraguei, Hyphoderma incrustatum, Inonotus andersonii.

Application of next‐generation sequencing technologies to conservation of wood‐inhabiting fungi
Conservation Biology, 2019Abstract Next‐generation sequencing (NGS) has significantly increased knowledge of microbial communities and their distribution. However, it is still not common to apply NGS technology to microbial conservation. We sought to use NGS technologies to evaluate conservation strategies for wood‐inhabiting fungi.

[Ecological function of wood-inhabiting fungi in forest ecosystem].
Ying yong sheng tai xue bao = The journal of applied ecology, 2006Wood-inhabiting fungi are one of the most important parts of forest ecosystem, and play an important role in degrading the wood in forest ecosystem. The major species of these fungi include the groups of Aphyllophorales (Basidiomycota), Discomycetes (Ascomycota) and some imperfect fungi.

Wood-inhabiting and marine fungi from a saline lake in Wyoming
Transactions of the British Mycological Society, 1974This preliminary report describes some of the microfungi found in a MgSO4.Na2SO4 lake in southeastern Wyoming. For the first time forms known as marine fungi (Monodktys pelagica (Johnson) Jones and Nais inornata Kohlm) are reported from a saline but non-marine environment.
