Large‐Scale Machine Learning to Screen for Small‐Molecule Senolytics

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
A consistent workflow underpins all experiments in this study. A dedicated model‐selection dataset first identifies optimal hyperparameters for each algorithm. Models are then trained and rigorously evaluated on independent sets of molecules using the senolytic ratio SR. Comprehensive hyperparameter exploration across SMILES representations, task types,

STORAGE OF COMMINUTED AND UNCOMMINUTED FOREST BIOMASS AND ITS EFFECT ON FUEL QUALITY

open access: yesBioResources, 2010
White birch was stored in the form of bundles, wood chips, and loose slash for a period of one year to examine the changes in biomass fuel properties. The samples were collected at regular quarterly intervals to measure moisture content, CNS content, ash

Smart Denture with Embedded Thin‐Film Temperature Sensors Patterned by Femtosecond Laser Pulse for Elderly Healthcare

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2025.
We demonstrate the direct‐laser patterning of a gold thin film on polymethyl methacrylate to fabricate a temperature sensor for dentures. The temperature sensor‐embedded smart dentures are evaluated in an oral environment, enabling in‐situ monitoring for elderly healthcare.

Food insecurity and unemployment among immigrants in the United States

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Agricultural Economics, EarlyView.
Abstract Immigrants can be more vulnerable to economic downturns and, during periods of economic hardship, more likely to experience food insecurity compared to natives. This study examines the differential effect of the unemployment rate on the probability of being food insecure among diverse groups of immigrant households relative to natives in the ...

Revisiting Securidaca longipedunculata Seed Oil: Applying NMR and Mass Spectroscopy to Confirm the Presence of 2‐Acetyl‐1,3‐Diacyl–sn‐Glycerols and Conjugated Hydroxydienoic Fatty Acids

open access: yesJournal of the American Oil Chemists' Society, EarlyView.
The manuscript confirms and expands on previous reports concerning the presence of unusual conjugated hydroxydienoic fatty acids and acetyl‐TAG in the seed oil of Securidaca longipedunculata. The location of acetate only at sn‐2 of TAG was conclusively shown by high resolution NMR and hydroxy seed fatty acids are characterized.
