WOOD-POLYMER COMPOSITE MATERIAL
Proceedings of the All-Russian scientific and technical conference "Environmental and resource-saving technologies in science and technology", 2022The PDM Department has developed a layered wood-polymer composite material (DPCM) containing surface layers based on thermomodified wood and a thermoplastic polymer as a filler, and an inner layer of polyurethane foam and wood particles as a binding matrix. The technology of production of the developed material is proposed.

Trees are felled and the branches trimmed off, then the trunks are cross cut into suitable lengths for hauling to the sawmill. At the mill the logs are washed, further cross cut if necessary, and then sawn into timbers or boards. The boards are sorted, graded and dried.
