Fuel, 2018
In wood fuels, potassium is by far the most abundant aerosol forming component. Given this predominant role, a major contribution for meeting the tightened total particulate matter emission thresholds on European level could thus be expected by the ...

Effect of pelletizing conditions on combustion behaviour of single wood pellet
Applied Energy, 2014This paper presents how pelletizing die temperature and moisture content affect combustion behaviour of single wood pellet. Pine wood particles with two different moisture contents (i.e. 1 wt.% and 12 wt.%) were pelletized in a laboratory-scale single pelletizer (single die pellets) at die temperature of 20, 100, 150 and 200 °C.

Study of Devolatilization Rates of Pine Wood and Mass Loss of Wood Pellets
Volume 6: Energy, 2017The present work investigates the mass loss of fine wood biomass using a TA INSTRUMENTS SDT 2960 simultaneous DSC-TGA instrument. The samples of sawdust were classified according to the grain size (< 0.063, 0.063–0.125, 0.125–0.25, 0.25–0.5, 0.5–1, and > 1 mm) and the micro samples were tested with air at a constant heating rate of 10 K/min, from

Temporal Trend in Wood Dust Exposure During the Production of Wood Pellets
Annals of Work Exposures and Health, 2017Wood dust data collected in the production of wood pellets during 2001 to 2013 were evaluated to study a temporal trend in inhalation exposure.A linear mixed effects model of natural ln-transformed data was used to express the relative annual difference in inhalation wood dust exposure. There was an annual decrease of -20.5% of the geometric mean wood ...
