Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Acoustic Properties of Wood [PDF]
A square redwood plate was progressively cut, removing crossgrain and longitudinal-grain strips, with simultaneous acoustic measurements made of strips (beams) and plate. Findings show that regions near the ends of a free beam or plate do not contribute to losses.

Shellac, a centuries‐old natural resin, is reimagined as a green material for flexible electronics. When combined with silver nanowires, shellac films deliver transparency, conductivity, and stability against humidity. These results position shellac as a sustainable alternative to synthetic polymers for transparent conductors in next‐generation ...

A study of teak wood quality from community forests in Gunungkidul II. Growth-stress measurement
Trees containing large growth stresses, leads to significant losses due to split, checked and also warped. The variation of growth-stress in teak trees grown in the three community forest sites of Gunungkidul regency was observed.

Dual morphology (fibres and particles) cellulosic filler for WPC materials [PDF]
Wood-plastic composites (WPC) were fabricated by using a polyethylene (PE) matrix and filling it with wood flour in the amount of 30 wt.%, and compared with the same composites with further amount of 10 wt.% of cellulosic recycled fibres added.

Tree crown architecture: a tool for decay resistance evaluation [PDF]
The variability of natural durability contributes to the bad perception of some wood end-users. In our search, we need to adjust our methods and strategies to estimate natural durability and extract higher value from wood resources.
