Golden Horde Time Burial with a Log Fence on the Left Bank of the Lower Dniester

Four barrows of the “Sputnik” group were studied in 2014 on the left bank of the Lower Dniester. The main burial of barrow 2 was surrounded on the ancient horizon by a log structure like a fence. The burial was completely robbed.

This paper examines Earth’s 195 confirmed impact craters as archives, exploring their cataloguing and presentation as heritage sites. It argues Western scientific framings using military language and emphasising catastrophe overlook settler colonialism’s violent histories and marginalise indigenous earth‐sky cosmologies.

Wildlife‐friendly fencing for bison: Assessing success for containment and conflict prevention

As land managers increasingly adopt wildlife‐friendly fencing to reduce habitat fragmentation, questions remain regarding their effectiveness in containing large species like plains bison (Bison bison). Our 822‐day study of a novel fencing system in Montana demonstrates high containment success, with only 31 escape events recorded.
