FlameForge: Combustion of Generalized Wooden Structures
We propose a unified volumetric combustion simulator that supports general wooden structures capturing the multi-phase combustion of charring materials. Complex geometric structures can conveniently be represented in a voxel grid for the effective evaluation of volumetric effects.

ABSTRACT Freshwater turtles are valuable sentinels of aquatic systems due to their long lifespans and resilience in environments impacted by contaminants. The Permian Basin, dominated by the oil and gas sector, spans western Texas and southeastern New Mexico, USA, including the Pecos River and its tributaries, the Delaware and Black Rivers.

Urban bats show dietary flexibility in aquatic arthropod consumption at urban and rural waterbodies
Urban waterbodies are critical for biodiversity and provide feeding grounds for insectivorous bats. Yet, how urbanisation affects bats' food choices at urban waterbodies and the role of emergent aquatic arthropods remain poorly understood. We compared the diet of three urban bat species – Vespadelus vulturnus, Chalinolobus gouldii, and Myotis macropus –

Robust monitoring of wildlife populations to guide interventions is fundamental to conservation and wildlife management. Understanding how landscape characteristics are influencing predator population dynamics is often vital to inform recovery strategies, management, and policy. The pine marten Martes martes is recovering in the UK; however, population
