Comment on “De Novo Reconstruction of 3D Human Facial Images from DNA Sequence”

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This comment examines AI‐driven DNA‐based facial reconstruction, focusing on the Difface model. While such technologies promise biomedical and forensic applications, they pose significant ethical, legal, and methodological challenges. We emphasize transparency, benchmarking, and rigorous validation to avoid misinterpretation and misuse.

The Adaptive Physical Activity Study in Stroke (TAPAS): A Feasibility Sequential Multiple Assignment Randomized Trial

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study examines the feasibility of a mobile health physical activity intervention for individuals post‐stroke using a sequential multiple assignment randomized trial (SMART) design. High recruitment, retention, and adherence rates are observed, with promising trends in step count, fatigue, and quality of life.

Defective MOFs Microreactor with Heterojunction for Selective Methane Photocatalysis via Desorption‐Driven Overoxidation Suppression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A defect‐engineered MOFs microreactor is constructed to regulate product desorption to suppress overoxidation by integrating Cu single atoms anchored on polymeric carbon nitride into the defective NH2‐UiO‐66. In photocatalytic oxidation of CH4, Def‐CuCN/NU enhances CH4 adsorption and CH3OH desorption, while the type‐S heterojunction enhances charge ...

Physical Interpretation of Diffractive Optical Networks for High‐Dimensional Vortex Mode Sorting

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The first layer‐resolved physical interpretation of diffractive optical networks trained for high‐dimensional vortex mode sorting is presented, revealing transformation division phenomena linked to saturated performance as layer numbers increase. This analysis reconciles physical theorems with network operations, enabling physics‐driven design of ...

Breath, Pulse, and Speech: A Multi‐Parameter Wearable System using Airflow‐Thermoelectric Fusion Technology

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
For insufficient medical emergency monitoring, this study develops a wearable system with flexible thermoelectric textiles and thermoelectric‐optical sensing. It establishes a dynamic airflow‐thermoelectric response theory (enabling 98% speech recognition) and a multi‐source fusion model for 98% emergency state recognition, aiding clinical decision ...
