Exploring the role of spatial ability in the mental representation of word problems in mathematics
Problem solving is important to many activities, both in a learning context and in everyday tasks. We can be challenged to solve what later turn out to be very simple problems.

This work demonstrates the successful integration of a phenanthroline‐based 2D COF with MnI catalytic sites into a catholyte‐free membrane‐electrode‐assembly cell for CO2 electroreduction. The crystalline COF actively suppresses Mn⁰–Mn⁰ dimerization, achieving a turnover frequency of 617 h⁻¹ at 2.8 V (full‐cell potential), and enabling stable operation.

Algebraic thinking of grade 8 students in solving word problems with a spreadsheet [PDF]
This paper describes and discusses the activity of grade 8 students on two word problems, using a spreadsheet. We look at particular uses of the spreadsheet, namely at the students’ representations, as ways of eliciting forms of algebraic thinking ...

Modeling Target-Side Inflection in Neural Machine Translation
NMT systems have problems with large vocabulary sizes. Byte-pair encoding (BPE) is a popular approach to solving this problem, but while BPE allows the system to generate any target-side word, it does not enable effective generalization over the rich ...

[001]‐oriented Sb2Se3 film with improved crystallinity and adjusted composition is achieved via a new thermal treatment approach consisting of preliminary annealing of the Sb layer before its selenization. The findings of this work demonstrate enhanced charge carriers' transportation, a stable performance, and an improvement of H2 generation from ...

The SERS spectra of reporter molecules adsorbed on chiral gold nanorods depends on the handedness of circularly polarized light (CPL‐SERS). The bisignate plasmonic CD spectra of chiral nanorods provides wavelength‐dependent CPL‐SERS. Selective discrimination of chiral nanorod handedness and different Raman reporters allow highly sensitive codification ...

Students’ Problem Solving Behavior On Multiplicative Word Problem
Abstract Students in junior high school frequently erroneously solving multiplicative word problems. Students in this stage should be able to understand the known and what is asked, what the strategies properly, and how to execute it become the right one.
