Challenges for a multilingual wordnet
Language Resources and Evaluation, 2012Wordnets have been created in many languages, revealing both their lexical commonalities and diversity. The next challenge is to make multilingual wordnets fully interoperable. The EuroWordNet experience revealed the shortcomings of an interlingua based on a natural language.

Boot-Strapping a WordNet Using Multiple Existing WordNets
Proceedings of the Language Resources and Evaluation Conference, 2008In this paper we describe the construction of an illustrated Japanese Wordnet. We bootstrap the Wordnet using existing multiple existing wordnets in order to deal with the ambiguity inherent in translation. We illustrate it with pictures from the Open Clip Art Library.
