Barium-Functionalized Multiwalled Carbon Nanotube Yarns As Low-Work-Function Thermionic Cathodes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Barium-functionalized multiwalled carbon nanotube yarns were fabricated by drawing and twisting multiwalled carbon nanotube forests through a solution containing barium nitrate.

Building Ohmic Contact Interfaces toward Ultrastable Zn Metal Anodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, 2021
Zn metal holds grand promise as the anodes of aqueous batteries for grid‐scale energy storage. However, the rampant zinc dendrite growth and severe surface side reactions significantly impede the commercial implementation.

Functional programs that explain their work [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 17th ACM SIGPLAN international conference on Functional programming, 2012
We present techniques that enable higher-order functional computations to "explain" their work by answering questions about how parts of their output were calculated. As explanations, we consider the traditional notion of program slices, which we show can be inadequate, and propose a new notion: trace slices.

Epitaxial Graphene and Graphene–Based Devices Studied by Electrical Scanning Probe Microscopy

open access: yesCrystals, 2013
We present local electrical characterization of epitaxial graphene grown on both Si- and C-faces of 4H-SiC using Electrostatic Force Microscopy and Kelvin Probe Force Microscopy in ambient conditions and at elevated temperatures. These techniques provide

Measuring Work Functioning: Validity of a Weighted Composite Work Functioning Approach

open access: yesJournal of Occupational Rehabilitation, 2015
To examine the construct validity of a weighted composite work functioning measurement approach.Workers (health-impaired/healthy) (n = 117) completed a composite measure survey that recorded four central work functioning aspects with existing scales: capacity to work, quality of work performance, quantity of work, and recovery from work.

The effect of synthesis time on morphology and electronic structure of polyaniline [PDF]

open access: yesОмский научный вестник, 2018
The paper investigates the morphology and electronic structure change of polyaniline as a function of the synthesis time. It is shown that the band gap of a polymer decreases with increasing duration of the synthesis time due to a change in the number

Modulation of PtSi Work Function by Alloying with Low Work Function Metal

open access: yesIEICE Transactions on Electronics, 2011
In order to reduce PtSi Schottky barrier height (SBH) for electron, we investigated modulation of PtSi work function by alloying with low work function metal, such as Hf (3.9eV) and Yb (2.7eV). Pt (10-20nm)/Hf, Yb (0-10nm)/n-Si(100) stacked structures were in-situ deposited at room temperature by RF magnetron sputtering method.
