Length of veterinary working life

Australian Veterinary Journal, 1998
Objective To estimate the time veterinary graduates spend in private practice and in veterinary work generally, and to determine what factors influence this. Methods Questionnaires were completed in the sixth year after graduation by 119 veterinarians who had participated in this longitudinal study since starting the veterinary course, and the data ...

Comparison of radiographic and electronic working lengths

Journal of Endodontics, 1996
The purpose of this study was to compare the ability of radiographic and electronic methods to determine reliably the location of the apical constriction. The working length of root canals in human cadaver teeth was determined by positioning an endodontic file at the apical termination point as indicated by an apex locator.

THE ELECTRONIC DETERMINATION OF WORKING LENGTH

Dental Clinics of North America, 1992
Electronic digital imaging systems provide the clinician with the ability to manipulate, enhance, and store radiographic images for immediate recall. Apex locators are a useful adjunct to endodontic therapy. It is important to understand that they do not replace radiographs completely in treatment.

The length of working life

Population Studies, 1949
Summary The rapid growth of the aged population in recent years has underscored the economic problems of dependency in old age and has focused attention on the length of working life as compared to the total life span. In addition to interest in the average work-life span, students of labour-force dynamics have found a need for related measures of ...

Methodological considerations in the determination of working length

International Endodontic Journal, 2001
AbstractAimThe aim of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic efficacy of an electronic system for the determination of working length, in comparison with two radiological methods (conventional film and digital radiography).MethodologyThe study sample consisted of 28 root canals belonging to 20 human mandibular teeth.

Do Cell Phones Affect Establishing Electronic Working Length?

Journal of Endodontics, 2015
Patients often keep their cell phones on and nearby during root canal therapy. Cell phones release electromagnetic interference, which might disturb electronic working length measurements. The purpose of this ex vivo study was to determine the effect of a cell phone (Apple iPhone 5 [Apple, Cupertino, CA] or KP100 [LG, Seoul, Korea]) placed into direct ...

Working length determinantion

Determining the proper working length is essential for successful endodontic treatment. Several methods are available for working length measurement, with the electronic technique being the most widely used today. The chapter covers the anatomical issues related to the topic, methods of working length determination, and the usage of apex locators for ...
