Modeling the Grinding Wheel Working Surface State
Abstract The system analysis considers the working surface of an abrasive tool as a set of basic regions, united in a combined construction. Its modeling consists in determining the state parameters of the basic sections and tool shape. The number of cutting edges on the tool working surface in grinding does not remain constant.

Visualization of work surface topography through simulations is very challenging task in grinding process due to the complexity of wheel-work interactions with a very high number of cutting points (grits). Kinematic mapping of abrasive grits on a three-dimensional wheel topography enables the evaluation of ground surface topography through simulations.

In-Process Measurement of Working Wheel Surface in Grinding Operations
本研究の結果はっぎのようにまとめられる.(1) 砥粒切れ刃先端の摩耗面からの反射光による光電出力波形の時間長さから個々の切れ刃の摩耗面長さをインプロセス測定することができた.(2)研削の進行と,砥石円周方向位置の順番とをあらわすインデックスにより研削過程における個々の砥粒切れ刃の位置をインプロセス測定により登録表示し,電子計算機により,切れ刃挙動のいろいろな実態を知ることができた.(3)研削に関与する砥粒切れ刃は砥石切り込みが大きいほど数が多く,更新も行なわれ,研削の進行とともに数は増加する.連続切れ刃聞隔分布曲線もこの切れ刃数の変動とよく対応する.(4)研削中の砥粒切れ刃の脱落または欠損は同一研削条件のもとでは常に一定の割合で起こり,その割合は砥石切り込みや工作物周速度の減少により小さく.なり ...
