M/M/1 Non-preemptive Priority Queuing System with Multiple Vacations and Vacation Interruptions

open access: yesJTAM (Jurnal Teori dan Aplikasi Matematika), 2023
Non-preemptive priority queue system is a type of priority queue where customers with higher priorities cannot interrupt low priority one while being served. High priority consumers will still be at the head of the queue.

Metal (n+1)p‐nd Orbital Hybridization and Excited‐State Metal–Ligand π‐Interactions Enable d10 Carbene‐Metal‐Amide TADF OLEDs with High Efficiency and Long Operational Lifetime

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We elucidate the key roles of metal p‐d orbital hybridization, excited‐state metal–ligand π‐interactions, and structural rotation in TADF of d10 CMA complexes. Introducing electron‐withdrawing or π‐extended ligand substituents weakens excited‐state metal‐ligand π‐interactions and improves kTADF, but may compromise emitter stability in device operation.

Trifunctional Kinetic Regulation Enables Low‐Defect Solution Grown Single Crystals for X‐Ray Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents a molecular‐level kinetic regulation strategy employing iodoacetic acid (IAA) to simultaneously suppress point defects and solvent inclusion in solution‐grown Cs4PbI6 single crystals. The obtained crystals demonstrate significantly enhanced charge transport properties, enabling X‐ray detectors with high sensitivity, low noise, and ...

Cost optimal analysis for a differentiated vacation machining system with discouragement under the two threshold control policies

open access: yesResults in Control and Optimization
The present study explores the cost analysis for machine repair problem of queueing system using two-threshold control policies with discouragement and differentiated vacation. The way repairmen offer service has been established by two-threshold control

Hydrothermal Embedding of Pd Single Atoms Into SnO2 for Efficient CO Oxidation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By applying hydrothermal regulation to SnO2‐supported PdO, we achieve atomic dispersion of Pd into the SnO2 lattice, which activates the lattice oxygen neighboring Pd atoms to generate oxygen vacancies and facilitates subsequent O2 activation, thereby promoting CO oxidation to proceed via a low‐energy‐barrier MvK pathway while avoiding CO poisoning ...

W‐N‐C Tandem Catalytic Centers Mediating Efficient Charge Transfer for the Enhanced Radical‐Path U(VI) Photoreduction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work constructed a tandem W−N−C center to simultaneously achieve the regulation of reaction pathways and optimization of charge separation efficiency. The Lewis‐acidic W6+ sites activated O2 to generate O2−$O_2^ - $, with enhanced charge separation via electronic modulation, steering U(VI) reduction down an efficient radical pathway.

Efficacy of a smartphone-based intervention — “Holidaily” — promoting recovery behaviour in workers after a vacation: study protocol for a randomised controlled trial

open access: yesBMC Public Health, 2020
Background While work-related rumination increases the risk of acute stressors developing into chronic load reactions and adverse health, mental detachment has been suggested as a way to interrupt this chain.

Tailored D‐π Conjugation Boosts Piezocatalytic CO2 Reduction in a Platinum(II)‐Acetylide Framework

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The highly conjugated metalII‐acetylide framework demonstrates efficient ultrasound‐driven conversion of CO2 to CO. The piezoelectric field generated by ultrasound facilitates electron transfer from the tetraphenylene π‐column to the MII‐bis(acetylide) moiety, enabling CO2 activation. Compared to PdII‐ and NiII‐based analogues, the stronger d–π orbital

On identifiability of MAP processes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Two types of transitions can be found in the Markovian Arrival process or MAP: with and without arrivals. In transient transitions the chain jumps from one state to another with no arrival; in effective transitions, a single arrival occurs.

A Ceramic Network for Hybrid Solid Electrolyte Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An in‐plane aligned Ta‐LLZO ceramic network exhibits superior performance compared to conventional fillers, including single ceramic fibers and particles. The tortuosity within the polymeric phase of hybrid solid electrolytes is identified as a key parameter governing lithium‐ion transport pathways and dendrite suppression.
