Wound Dehiscence after Wisdom Tooth Removal in Mandibular Mesioangular Class IB Impactions: Triangular Transposition Flap versus Envelope Flap

open access: yesJournal of Dental Research, Dental Clinics, Dental Prospects, 2015
Background and aims. Wound dehiscence after lower third molar surgery extends the postoperative treatment period and may cause long-standing pain. The aim of this study was to compare wound dehiscence after removal of wisdom teeth in the most prevalent ...

Enzyme‐Regulated Extended Swelling of Hydrogels for Dehiscence‐Less Tissue Expansions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An interpenetrating hydrogel network with swelling under regulation by enzymatic degradation (INSURED) is fabricated to avoid dehiscence. INSURED remains structurally intact post‐implantation, while HYAL injection enables control over the onset and rate of swelling.

Growth Hormone‐Loaded 3D Printed Silk Fibroin‐Cellulose Dressings for Ischemic Wounds

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
3D‐printed wound dressings combining carboxymethyl cellulose, silk fibroin, and growth hormone accelerate healing in diabetic ulcers. These bioactive, customizable dressings enhance angiogenesis, cellular proliferation, and immune modulation. Proteomic analysis reveals activation of regenerative pathways and reduced fibrosis, highlighting their ...

Real‐Time In Vivo Monitoring of Anastomotic Intestinal Ischemia Using Implantable Resorbable Organic Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Resorbable impedance sensors are successfully implanted into porcine small intestinal anastomoses. Impedance was recorded for 2 hours prior, and 2 hours following ischemia induction, and a significant drop in tissue impedance was observed. Abstract Anastomotic failure remains one of the most severe complications in gastrointestinal surgery.

Abdominal wound dehiscence [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Vascular Surgery, 1989
Few complications in general surgery are as distressing for the patient or as embarrassing for the surgeon as an abdominal wound dehiscence. The responsibility for most of these mishaps rests with the surgeon, as dehiscence usually occurs before significant fascial healing has begun.

Rescuing Mitochondrial Dysfunction in Macrophages Prevents Osteonecrosis of the Jaw in Anti‐Resorptive Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Schematic model showing the suggested mechanism that ZA induces classical activation of macrophages by impairing mitochondrial biofunction and inhibiting mitochondrial clearance to contribute to the pathological process of BRONJ. RAPA‐loaded nanoparticles ZDPR has shown potential in alleviating BRONJ lesions as well as treating osteoporosis or ...
