Nonlinear control of wound-rotor synchronous-motor
2006 IEEE Conference on Computer Aided Control System Design, 2006 IEEE International Conference on Control Applications, 2006 IEEE International Symposium on Intelligent Control, 2006The problem of controlling wound rotor synchronous motors is considered. First, a nonlinear model of the controlled motor is developed in the Park (d, q)-coordinates. Then, a nonlinear regulator is designed using the backstepping technique. The resulting closed-loop is proved to be asymptotically stable and the motor speed is shown to achieve its ...

Condition Monitoring of Wound Rotor Resolvers
2020 28th Iranian Conference on Electrical Engineering (ICEE), 2020Resolver is an electromagnetic sensor for calculating position and speed in motion control drive of electrical machines. Due to electromechanical structure of the machine, occurrence of the mechanical faults includes static and dynamic eccentricities (SE, DE) is inevitable. Even an inherent level of SE exists in newly manufactured machines. Furthermore,

The Wound-Rotor Design and Finite Element Analysis of Wound-Rotor Brushless Double-Feed Motor
Advanced Materials Research, 2013In this paper, firstly the operation principle of the brushless double-fed motor is introduced. Secondly by means of the single-pole slot-number phase diagram, the rotor windings are designed and analyzed, and it is proved that the designed motor can assure the equality of the induced branch EMF and satisfy the demands of other electrical properties ...

Control of wound-rotor induction motor with rotor impedance variation
Conference Record of the 1993 IEEE Industry Applications Conference Twenty-Eighth IAS Annual Meeting, 2002It is proposed to modify the performance of a three-phase induction motor, fed from a conventional three-phase supply of constant voltage and frequency, by the use of a network of general, slip-dependent impedances connected externally into the secondary circuit, via slip rings.

Irregular windings in wound rotor induction motors
Electrical Engineering, 1934The importance of using regular windings in polyphase wound rotor induction motors is stressed in this paper. Harmful effects upon the efficiency, power factor, breakdown torque and noise of the motor may result with an irregular winding, due to differential leakage. The Goerges diagram of tooth fluxes is presented for studying this phenomenon.
