Materials for a debate on the 15-minute city: Public transportation’s effect on urban space and time in two Asia-based alternative proposals

open access: yesJournal of Asian Architecture and Building Engineering
This work aims to encourage a debate about Carlos Moreno’s “15-minute city” – a recent, popular concept to make contemporary cities more livable by decentralizing the urban environment into self-sufficient, walkable units.

Assessment of fatigue damage evolution in woven composite materials using infra-red techniques

open access: yes, 2010
Thermoelastic stress analysis (TSA) is used to study the growth of fatigue damage in single and twoply, 2 x 2 twill woven composite materials. Test specimens were subjected to a uniaxial tensile cyclicloading with maximum stresses of 10, 15 and 20% of ...

Dynamic behaviour of woven bio fiber composite [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The effect of weaving pattern and natural filler addition on the dynamic properties of composite structure was investigated. The reinforcement effect of plain, basket, and twill weave were compared with randomly oriented natural fiber in short form.

A Numerical–Experimental Approach for Multi‐Matrix Fiber‐Reinforced Plastics Characterization Using Finite Element Model Updating

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A numerical–experimental framework is developed for characterizing multi‐matrix fiber‐reinforced polymers (MM‐FRPs) combining epoxy and polyurethane matrices. Harmonic bending tests are integrated with finite element model updating (FEMU) to simultaneously identify elastic and viscoelastic material parameters.
