Ultrasound WPC Tomography of a Nonlinear Parameter

Physics of Wave Phenomena, 2022
A possibility of using a standard beam tomography procedure to reconstruct the two-dimensional distribution of the nonlinear parameter of a medium in ultrasonic systems with wave phase conjugation (WPC) is investigated. The mathematical model constructed for the confocal geometry of the ultrasonic WPC system is confirmed by experimental results.

Flammability in WPC Composites

2010
Wood fiber reinforced plastic composites represent an emerging class of materials that combine the favorable performance and cost attributes of both wood and thermoplastics [1]. In comparison to other fillers, the natural and wood fiber reinforced polymer composites are more environmentally friendly, and are used in transportation, military ...

The effect of pre-adsorption of OVA or WPC on subsequent OVA or WPC fouling on heated stainless steel surface

Colloids and Surfaces B: Biointerfaces, 2015
Fouling on the heat exchanger surface during food processing has been researched extensively due to its great importance in energy efficiency, product quality and food safety. The nature of heat exchanger surface has an effect on the initial deposition behavior and deposit removal behavior to some degree.

Process and Machinery Used for WPC

2010
The feature common to all polymeric composite processes is the combining of a resin, a curing agent, some type of reinforcing fiber, and in some cases a solvent. Typically, heat and pressure are used to shape and “cure” the mixture into a finished part. In composites, the resin acts to hold the fibers together and protect them, and to transfer the load

Effect of Compatibilizers in WPC Composites

2010
Wood-fiber (WF) filled plastic composites (WPC) have gained rapid growth in recent years. Such materials offer significant advantages, which justify their use. Wood fiber is obtained from natural resources, it is available in various forms in large quantities, light, cheap, and it can be added to commodity matrices in considerable amounts thus offering

Heat-Induced Aggregation of Whey Proteins:  Comparison of Cheese WPC with Acid WPC and Relevance of Mineral Composition

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2002
Heat-induced aggregation of whey proteins in solutions made from two commercial whey protein concentrates (WPCs), one derived from mineral acid whey (acid WPC) and the other from cheese whey (cheese WPC), was studied using polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE), size exclusion chromatography (SEC), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM).

Improving embedding efficiency by incorporating SDCS and WPC

2009 IEEE International Conference on Multimedia and Expo, 2009
Embedding efficiency, which is defined as the average number of secret data bits embedded per one embedding change, is an important attribute directly influencing the security of steganography. Higher embedding efficiency is usually expected to get more secure steganographic method.

Rheological and thermal properties of PP-based WPC

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2014
Wood Plastic Composite (WPC) has attracted great interest in outdoor building products for the reduced cost and the possibility of using recycled materials. Nevertheless the material shows two problems: the large viscosity due to the presence of high concentrations of filler and the degradation of cellulose during processing The aim of this work was to

Optimum design methods for WPC shipform

2011 International Conference on Remote Sensing, Environment and Transportation Engineering, 2011
Wave-piercing catamaran (WPC) is a efficiency ship form which combined various navigating requirements such as good sea-keeping performance, speeding, stability and rotation. In this paper, based on the catamaran ‘slender ship’ wave making resistance formula, some introduction and discussion are given on how to use the methods of ‘quadratic ...
