ABSTRACT Mechanical wounds are a common form of skin damage in Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar Linnaeus, 1758) aquaculture and can predispose fish to secondary infections. Such wounds often arise from routine farming practices, including delousing operations.

Radiofrequency catheter ablation of the accessory pathway in Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome is a highly successful mode of therapy. Sudden cardiac arrest survivors associated with WPW syndrome should undergo radiofrequency catheter ablation.

The Conversion of Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) Pattern into WPW Syndrome in the Presence of Ischemia: A Case Report [PDF]
Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome is defined by the presence of a short PR interval, delta waves on the electrocardiogram (EKG), and symptomatic tachycardia. The condition is rare but can be life-threatening if not recognized in a timely manner.

ABSTRACT Background In Wolff–Parkinson–White (WPW) syndrome, accurate localization of accessory pathways before catheter ablation can improve procedural planning and efficiency. Several 12‐lead electrocardiographic (ECG) algorithms have been proposed, but their diagnostic performance has not been consistently established.

Outcomes of a Simplified Two‐Catheter Approach for Catheter Ablation of SVT in Pediatric Patients
ABSTRACT Background Catheter ablations are an established treatment for supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) in pediatric patients with high success and low complication rates typically. This study evaluated the procedural outcomes, safety, and recurrence rates of pediatric patients undergoing SVT ablation using a two‐catheter approach.

Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome is defined by specific electrocardiogram (ECG) changes resulting in ventricular pre-excitation (the so-called WPW pattern), related to the presence of an accessory pathway (AP), combined with recurrent ...

Intra‐procedural accessory pathway reconduction occurred in 18% of patients, with 65.2% of events detected ≥ 15 min after initial pathway elimination. Reconduction was associated with a higher rate of late recurrence, supporting careful assessment for conduction recovery during the post‐ablation waiting period.

Background Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome has the risk of sudden cardiac death. Without appropriate treatment, coronary vasospasm is also a potentially fatal condition due to ischemia-induced ventricular fibrillation.

Pre-excitation pattern associated with accessory pathway related tachycardia: Case report [PDF]
Introduction. Pre-excitation is based on an accessory conduction pathway between the atrium and ventricle. The term Wolff- Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome is used for patients with the pre-excitation/WPW pattern associated with AP-related tachycardia ...

ABSTRACT Background Financial fraud victimization can lead to financial devastation and is associated with mental health problems. The current study examined differences in executive function, personality traits, and the rate of a self‐reported attention‐deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) diagnosis across varying experiences of financial fraud ...
