In 125 consecutive pediatric and young adult patients (age ≤ 21 years), zero‐fluoroscopy radiofrequency slow‐pathway modification for AVNRT—guided entirely by CARTO 3D electroanatomic mapping—achieved 100% acute success, zero recurrences at 36‐month follow‐up, and zero major complications, supporting fluoroless RF ablation as a durable first‐line ...

Syncope is a common manifestation of both hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) and Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome. The most common arrhythmia in HCM is ventricular tachycardia (VT) and atrial fibrillation (AF).

Pre-excitation pattern associated with accessory pathway related tachycardia: Case report [PDF]
Introduction. Pre-excitation is based on an accessory conduction pathway between the atrium and ventricle. The term Wolff- Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome is used for patients with the pre-excitation/WPW pattern associated with AP-related tachycardia ...

8‐spline high‐density open‐window mapping achieved higher spatial resolution, sharper EEML‐defined accessory pathway gap delineation, and shorter mapping time compared with 5‐spline catheters, and was associated with higher first‐pass ablation success, supporting improved mapping‐guided targeting precision in Wolff–Parkinson–White syndrome.

ABSTRACT Background Hip fractures are a significant public health concern, associated with substantial morbidity and mortality. Mortality is the most serious consequence of hip fractures, with a 1‐year rate ranging from 14% to 36%. Hospital harms are also more prevalent among older adults with hip fractures, further increasing their risk of mortality ...

Altered myocardial characteristics of the preexcited segment in Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome: A pilot study with cardiac magnetic resonance imaging. [PDF]
PURPOSE:The preexcited myocardium of Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome would have different characteristics from normal myocardium and these findings might be related to persistent left ventricular systolic dysfunction.

Antenatal Presentation of MRPS22‐Related Mitochondrial Disease Confirmed With Rapid Proteomics
ABSTRACT MRPS22‐related mitochondrial disease (MIM#611719) is a rare autosomal recessive disorder caused by defects in the mitochondrial ribosomal protein S22, a component of the small mitoribosomal subunit essential for mitochondrial translation. Of the few reported cases, most present antenatally with a severe phenotype, conveying a poor prognosis ...

Dynamics of Nerve Conduction Studies in Patients With Guillain–Barré Syndrome
ABSTRACT Introduction/Aims The value of electrodiagnostic subtyping of Guillain–Barré syndrome (GBS) is still debated. This study aimed to determine the diagnostic yield, timing, and changes of the electrodiagnostic subtyping in patients with GBS in serial nerve conduction studies (NCS).

We report a 68-year-old man who presented with heart failure and atrial fibrillation (AF) with rapid ventricular response and wide QRS complexes. Tachycardiainduced cardiomyopathy (TIC) due to persistent AF developing on the basis of Wolff-Parkinson ...

Compared to previously tested ECG signs, The PR/QRS ratio had the best predictive performance of right septal versus right free wall accessory pathway locations. This simple yet powerful tool has the potential to improve patient safety, optimize ablation strategies, and ultimately lead to better outcomes for patients with accessory pathways.
