Comparison and Numeric Simulation of Two Sea Fog Processes behind High Pattern over Qiongzhou Strait
Using mesoscale numerical forecasting model WRF and National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) reanalysis data, two persistent sea fog events on 17-20 February 2018 and 4-6 February 2019 over Qiongzhou strait were simulated.Combined with ...

Calibration of WRF Hydro for Bhagirathi Alaknanda Basin
Complemented with the coupling of the most sensitive and challenging interaction between terrestrial hydrology and atmosphere, the Bhagirathi-Alaknanda basin of the Garhwal Himalaya requires advanced dynamic and most comprehensively coupled atmospheric-hydrological models for simulation of streamflows.

We downscale CanESM2 with the Regional Climate Model version 4 (20 km) and evaluate against 15 stations to derive monthly PET (Hargreaves–Samani) and SPEI for northeastern Iran (1990–2009, 2040–2059, 2080–2099). Results show robust PET increases and a shift toward more negative monthly SPEI—especially April–September—indicating earlier onset and longer

Abstract Accurate direct measurements of coccolithophore particulate inorganic and organic carbon ratios (PIC/POC) are crucial for understanding the physiology and role these microbes play in global ocean carbon flux. Direct measurements of POC are commonly obtained by acid fuming or applying acid directly to filters to dissolve PIC (CaCO3) prior to CN

Modulation of wind drag by tidal currents in an embayment
Tidal currents modulate how wind energy enters the surface wave field by influencing both wave drag and wave generation. In Shark Bay, following currents reduce effective wave steepness and wind drag, and opposing currents enhance wave growth. Wind energy is partitioned between wave drag and the creation of new waves, explaining observed tidal ...

WRF model have been tuned and tested over Georgia’s territory for years. First time in Georgia theprocess of data assimilation in Numerical weather prediction is developing. This work presents how forecasterror statistics appear in the data assimilation problem through the background error covariance matrix – B, wherethe variances and correlations ...

Observations and numerical simulations of a valley‐exit wind in the Alpine Bolzano basin
The evolution and spreading of the nocturnal valley‐exit wind flowing from the Isarco Valley into the Bolzano basin, in the Italian Alps, are found to be influenced by the basin temperature stratification. Measurements and high‐resolution simulations show that a cold‐air pool favors an upward trajectory of the flow at the exit of the valley.
