Owning Home, Finding Belonging: Relational Meanings of Homeownership for Migrant Healthcare Workers in Australia

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Social Issues, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Migrant healthcare workers in Australia find themselves at the centre of three intersecting concerns, often presented as ‘crises’ in contemporary discourse: the ‘care crisis’, the ‘housing crisis’ and the ‘migration crisis.’ Yet their own perspectives on these issues are rarely foregrounded. Use of a vibrating mesh nebulizer for allergen challenge

open access: yesAllergy, Asthma & Clinical Immunology, 2019
Background Allergen inhalation tests are a valuable research tool. The allergen dose producing an early asthmatic response (EAR) can be predicted from methacholine responsiveness and allergen skin test endpoint (STE).

Disruption of the Blood–Brain Barrier Predicts Progression of Cerebral Small Vessel Disease White Matter Hyperintensities

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, EarlyView.
Objective The objective of this study was to test if blood–brain barrier (BBB) disruption, detected using dynamic susceptibility contrast (DSC) imaging, would predict progression of white matter hyperintensities (WMHs) over the subsequent year in patients with chronic cerebrovascular disease. Methods The study included patients with a history of stroke

Disparity of turbinal bones in placental mammals

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Turbinals are key bony elements of the mammalian nasal cavity, involved in heat and moisture conservation as well as olfaction. While turbinals are well known in some groups, their diversity is poorly understood at the scale of placental mammals, which span 21 orders.

[Thoracocentesis: wright indication and wright placement?]

open access: yesNederlands tijdschrift voor geneeskunde
The incidence of a tension pneumothorax is very low. The initial treatment of a tension pneumothorax is needle thoracocentesis. This procedure is not a routine treatment and this invasive treatment is not without risks. Recognition of a clinically relevant tension pneumothorax remains difficult especially in the prehospital setting.

Low power‐delay‐product dynamic CMOS circuit design techniques

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2017
Two low power‐delay‐product (PDP) dynamic CMOS circuit design techniques are proposed. The techniques can simply modify existing dynamic CMOS designs to improve dynamic circuit delay and PDP.
