Study on service selection effort estimation in service oriented architecture‐based applications powered by information entropy weight fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model

open access: yesIET Software, Volume 12, Issue 2, Page 76-84, April 2018., 2018
Service selection is a very challenging core task in service oriented architecture‐based application (SOABA) development. Service selection is based on user's business need and budget available. A large amount of effort is invested in selecting the most preferred service from a pool of similar services available in the market by various service ...

Overview on Fault Tolerance Strategies of Composite Service in Service Computing

open access: yesWireless Communications and Mobile Computing, Volume 2018, Issue 1, 2018., 2018
In order to build highly reliable composite service via Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) in the Mobile Fog Computing environment, various fault tolerance strategies have been widely studied and got notable achievements. In this paper, we provide a comprehensive overview of key fault tolerance strategies.

A Systematic Mapping Study of the Metrics, Uses and Subjects of Diversity‐Based Testing Techniques

open access: yesSoftware Testing, Verification and Reliability, Volume 35, Issue 2, March 2025.
This paper is a systematic mapping study of diversity‐based testing (DBT) techniques that summarizes the key aspects and trends of 167 papers. The study reports the use of 79 similarity metrics with 22 types of software artefacts, which researchers have used to tackle 11 types of software testing problems.

Systematic mapping study on MBT: tools and models

open access: yesIET Software, Volume 11, Issue 4, Page 141-155, August 2017., 2017
Every year several contributions to the model‐based testing (MBT) field are published. Therefore, to follow the evolution and trends of several tools and models available is difficult. Moreover, since the variety of models and tools that became available in recent years, choosing an approach to support the MBT process is a challenging activity.

A Clustering Method for Isomorphic Evolution of Web Services

open access: yesScientific Programming, Volume 2017, Issue 1, 2017., 2017
Since the basic binding unit of current service request and response schema is an atomic Web service, it needs to costly find a substitute service or reconstruct the service process in the original service space once a fine granular evolution requirement occurs.

Distributed Secure Service Composition with Declassification in Mobile Clouds

open access: yesMobile Information Systems, Volume 2017, Issue 1, 2017., 2017
The regional and dynamic characteristics of mobile clouds pose a great challenge on information flow security during service composition. Although secure verification approaches based on standard noninterference provide a solid assurance on information flow security of composite service, too strict constraints on service components may cause the ...

Transition between process models (BPMN) and service models (WS-BPEL and other standards): A systematic review

open access: yesJournal of Information and Organizational Sciences, 2011
BPMN and BPEL have become de facto standards for modeling of business processes and imple-mentation of business processes via Web services. There is a quintessential problem of discrep-ancy between these two approaches as they are applied in different ...

Using formal methods to develop WS-BPEL applications

open access: yesScience of Computer Programming, 2012
AbstractIn recent years, WS-BPEL has become a de facto standard language for the orchestration of Web services. However, there are still some well-known difficulties that make programming in WS-BPEL a tricky task. In this paper, we first point out major loose points of the WS-BPEL specification by means of many examples, some of which are also ...
