Cost–Utility Analysis of Wireless Versus Catheter‐Based Oesophageal pH Monitoring in the Pre‐Operative Assessment of Anti‐Reflux Surgery: A Decision‐Analytic Model

open access: yesANZ Journal of Surgery, EarlyView.
Oesophageal pH monitoring is an important component of preoperative workup for anti‐reflux surgery. This single‐centre cost–utility analysis found that wireless pH monitoring was associated with lower expected healthcare costs and higher QALYs, supporting it as a potentially cost‐effective alternative.

Measuring Lead Userness: Development and Validation of a Hierarchical Scale

open access: yesCreativity and Innovation Management, Volume 34, Issue 4, Page 944-962, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Lead user theory has gained traction in both academia and practice, given that involving lead users (LUs) can yield more innovative and commercially successful products. Yet, measurement inconsistencies have hindered consensus on how to reliably assess lead userness.

Fluid Control with Localized Spacetime Windows

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
Abstract We present a physics‐based fluid control method utilizing localized spacetime windows, extending force‐based fluid control to substantially larger simulation scales. In many practical editing scenarios, user‐specified objectives affect only a small region of an otherwise satisfactory simulation, resulting in optimal control force distributions

Is local all that matters?: An experiment on Canadian consumers’ preferences for produce

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Agricultural Economics/Revue canadienne d'agroeconomie, EarlyView.
Abstract Controlled environment agriculture is important in regions where traditional farming is constrained by short growing seasons. Of particular relevance, vertical farming is an innovative agricultural technology that enables year‐round production in Canada. However, Canadian consumers’ preferences for vertically farmed products remain a knowledge

Modeling the behavioral dynamics of Asian Houbara wildlife trafficking: Roles for habits, norms, and insights into the intention–behavior gap in local communities

open access: yesConservation Science and Practice, EarlyView.
Abstract Illegal wildlife trade undermines conservation efforts and human well‐being. Understanding motivations behind this illicit activity is essential for designing effective strategies to combat this threat. Here, we analyzed the behavioral dynamics underlying the drivers of illegal trade and the conservation of the Asian Houbara (Chlamydotis ...

How Large Is the Compensating Wage Differential for R&D Workers? [PDF]

open access: yes
The aim of this paper is to measure the extent to which lower wages in R&D functions reflect a preference effect. In contrast to the bulk of the literature on compensating wage differentials that compares wage levels of jobs with different attributes, we

Out‐of‐pocket costs and time spent on disease management by vitiligo patients: a cross‐sectional questionnaire study in German‐speaking countries

open access: yesJDDG: Journal der Deutschen Dermatologischen Gesellschaft, EarlyView.
Summary Background and objectives The financial and time‐related burden of patients with vitiligo remains insufficiently studied. This study aimed to quantify out‐of‐pocket costs (OOPC) and time expenditure for vitiligo management and the associated sociodemographic, clinical, and behavioral factors in German‐speaking countries.
