Stac2 genetic deletion alters mouse chromaffin cells’ CaV channel composition, increases membrane excitability and reduces vesicle exocytosis

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend Stac2 adaptor protein is expressed in neurons and endocrine cells. Using a global Stac2 knockout mouse model here we investigated the role of endogenous Stac2 in adrenal gland mouse chromaffin cell (MCC) excitability and catecholamine vesicle exocytosis.

Melting Behavior of Direct‐Feed High‐Level Waste Melter Feeds

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Glass Science, Volume 18, Issue 1, January 2027.
This study examines melting behavior of eight low glass‐yield DFHLW melter feeds (222–474 g L−1). Water content dominates feed‐to‐glass conversion enthalpy and melt rate, outweighing foaming effects. Findings refine predictive models and support optimization of vitrification throughput for Hanford high‐level waste cleanup. ABSTRACT The direct‐feed high‐

The Optimal Lung Cancer Ct Screening Strategy: A Cost‐Effectiveness Study Incorporating Nelson Evidence, Evolving Cost of Treatment and Smoking Cessation Interventions

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 159, Issue 12, Page 2886-2896, 15 December 2026.
ABSTRACT Lung cancer screening implementation is taking shape worldwide. Programme design requires specifying eligibility criteria, screening interval, and the optimal age range. We estimate benefits and harms of competing strategies, integrating NELSON results, smoking cessation interventions, contemporary treatment costs, and the management of ...

Translating the U.S. POINTER cognitive‐slope benefit into predicted clinical progression: an external‐cohort analysis with exploratory economic thresholds

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia: Behavior &Socioeconomics of Aging, Volume 2, Issue 4, December 2026.
Abstract INTRODUCTION Cognitive‐slope benefits from multidomain lifestyle trials are difficult to interpret clinically or economically. We translated the U.S. Study to Protect Brain Health Through Lifestyle Intervention to Reduce Risk (U.S. POINTER) structured‐versus‐self‐guided cognitive‐slope benefit into predicted clinical progression and ...
